We are an Australian company founded to promote the use of UltraBattery technology Ecoult was founded in 2007 and has a licence to the UltraBattery technology and intelligent energy management systems developed by the Australian CSIRO research organisation.
UltraBatteries are based on lower-cost lead-acid battery technology and include CSIRO patented technology to dramatically increase battery longevity.
Mr John Wood was recruited from San Francisco to become CEO of Ecoult. John has extensive experience in developing companies from the start-up stage through to commercial success. John founded Keycorp in Sydney and took this to a public company valued at over $100m. After Keycorp John spent 8 years in the US on a number of venture capital activities, founding of a start-up company and a trade sale of a further company. John's experience with company development and financing are strong success factors for Ecoult.
