We support the integration of our Deka® UltraBattery® technology into projects around the world.
Our engineering team, available across multiple timezones, is experienced at designing energy storage solutions at multi-kilowatt scales for a wide range of applications.
Our microgrid projects consistently achieve better than 50 percent savings on diesel consumption.
With the Deka UltraBattery , we can support you to reduce fuel consumption, emissions, noise, and onsite maintenance.
We know renewables. We have smoothed the wind for Australian turbines, smoothed and stored PV output at multiple sites, integrating storage with photovoltaics (PV) and micro-hydro at both on-grid and off-grid sites all over the world.
Renewables are hard to dispatch and predict. Ramp rates can be well in excess of the requirements for your site or for the microgrid.
The Deka UltraBattery acts as both a buffer and a storage system, smoothing renewables for instantaneous use and giving you the benefit of stored renewable energy minutes or even hours after it’s produced.
Renewable Integrators & Installers
We make it easy for you to take the Deka UltraBattery into the market with training, marketing support, seminars and back-end assistance.
Solar installers are our main connection to end customers. We love to discuss your customers’ needs and application requirements. Installers and integrators have put our Deka UltraBattery solutions into off-grid communities, new apartment developments, construction sites, and music festivals.
We’ve installed some of the most varied and interesting energy storage systems on the planet, and we empower and trust our installer network to keep thinking about new applications.
From dairies to oil rigs, from islands to minesites, we support integrators who want to say “Yes” when their customers ask about energy storage possibilities.
We’re really excited about the environmental and cost savings we can make in the telecommunication world.
We all want to be able to make calls to anywhere, so telecommunications infrastructure has to be everywhere. And a lot of that infrastructure is off the grid.
We’ve developed storage systems and algorithms that can save more than 50 percent of the diesel used on remote telecommunications sites. These include sites in India, where more than 400,000 telecom towers are off grid and powered by diesel generators.
Not only is the Deka UltraBattery an extremely robust and efficient solution, it is also exceptionally tolerant to the high temperatures experienced in many of the world’s remote places, where telecommunications infrastructure is most diesel-reliant.
Our mission is to provide reliable energy storage for a cleaner planet.
Commercial Energy Efficiency
Commercial energy customers need to balance time-of-use tariffs with start-up loads, demand charges, air-conditioning loads and in some cases utility-imposed restrictions on PV use.
The Deka UltraBattery excels in off-grid and fringe-of-grid locations, particularly helping diesel and PV to work together efficiently to deliver consistent power at the lowest possible cost.
High-power start-up loads mean that most gensets are oversized and run inefficiently except at peak-load moments.
Fluctuations that overwhelm a PV system can necessitate the worst combination: PV with constant diesel back-up. The high-powered Deka UltraBattery makes it all work – reliably, efficiently, and economically.
Generators that once operated near-continuously at low power, are now operating infrequently, and at their optimal output power. PV is comfortably running loads that fluctuate between a quarter and twice the panel size. We’re saving our offgrid clients a big part of their diesel costs with our unique, CSIRO-invented Deka UltraBattery and smart engineering.
Mining, Oil & Gas
The mining, oil and gas industries are full of projects with high energy needs, far from the nearest transmission line.
Such projects exist firmly in diesel territory, and this is unlikely to change any time soon – diesel generators are highly evolved and provide by far the most reliable remote power available. But why feed them more fuel than necessary?
The Deka UltraBattery has clear benefits for stationary defence applications. The technology is robust and its underlying lead chemistry has been understood and valued by electrical system designers for many decades.
